With the reduction in the reimbursements from the insurance companies, many doctors in different specialties are offering Botox injections and fillers to their patients.
Doctors who used to take care of cold and stuffy noses are not injecting Botox for wrinkles and some even take courses on the weekends to learn how to liposuction in their offices.
They even say that they are board-certified and the public does not question them what kind of board-certification they are referring to. They are referring to their board-certification papers on the wall of their back office in the Emergency Medicine, Thoracic Surgery, Ob/Gyn, Dermatologist, Family Medicine, etc.
They even claim that they have been certifies by some bogus societies of liposuction in Brazil and so on and so on.
Who is going to protect the public from those who are in it to make money just because they think they got the short end of the stick and they wish they had been trained in the plastic cosmetic surgery specialty.
Seven or more years of training vs 2-3 years and they think they can claim that they are capable of doing what many of us, board-certified plastic cosmetic surgeons are doing.
